Looking at the Remembrance Day poppies on lamp posts led me to reflect on the number of times children may come across the word sacrifice during their primary school years. It’s a concept that spans several subjects, creating diagonal links as explained by Clare Sealy here1 . So I thought I’d start a new series of mini-blogs highlighting some of these high yield concepts and how you can track them throughout your school’s curriculum.
